Minimum system versions and compatible devices

System requirements

Brim Memo is a fully native app on both Mac and iPhone. The requirements are:

• iPhone: iOS 18.0 or later;
• Mac: macOS 15.0 or later.

Whether a specific device can install the app is governed by the Compatibility section on the App Store page — if your system version is below these requirements, the App Store will tell you the download isn't available.

How to check your system version

• iPhone: open Settings → General → About, and look for "iOS Version";
• Mac: click the Apple menu in the top-left corner → About This Mac, and check the macOS version number.

If your version is below the requirement and the device supports an update, upgrade first via Settings → General → Software Update (iPhone) or System Settings → General → Software Update (Mac), then install the app.

Current version

The current release is version 1.0, published on September 2, 2026. The App Store page's Version History is the authoritative source for version numbers and release notes.

One purchase, both platforms

The Mac and iOS versions are a single purchase: pay once and every feature unlocks on both platforms — there's no per-platform purchase (options in Free vs. Pro).

Syncing between the two platforms runs over iCloud and is a Pro feature; it requires signing in to iCloud on each device (details in iCloud sync requirements and troubleshooting).
