The first public release of Brim Memo, published on the App Store on September 2, 2026.

What's in the first release

Mac (macOS 15.0 or later)

• Pull-out capture: move the cursor to the screen edge and drag out a new note;
• Two-state notes: pinned on the desktop, or stowed in the manager panel;
• Formatting kept to the essentials: Markdown lists, 6-level Tab indentation, and shortcut styles (bold / strikethrough / underline / highlight);

• tags as global markers, displayed separately without covering the text;

• Image attachments: up to 3 per note, never inline;
• A Spotlight-style manager panel: starred / recent / other tiers, searching text and tags.

iPhone (iOS 18.0 or later)

• The same philosophy as the Mac: buttons as actions, with a dedicated tag entry in search;
• Tags and images managed through dedicated buttons in the editor.

Free vs. Pro

• Free: the complete capture experience, with quantity limits on notes / tags / images and no sync;
• Pro: iCloud sync across both platforms, unlimited quantities, and all future updates — via monthly, yearly (with a 7-day trial), or one-time purchase, all unlocking both platforms at once.
